The Fox is in the Canine family. The Red Fox is the Biggest and the most wide range of Foxes. People brought it to Australia now they wish they had not. OOPS! That is like finding an Alligator in a San Francisco pond! I digress. The Fox has great hearing and can find rodents underground or snow with a pounce he can come up with the meal. The Red Fox was an experiment in 1950's Russia to Domesticate it to a pet. Within 8 to 10 generations the Red Fox was changed. The Red Fox's color changed, and also got patches of color. The tail curly and the ears more floppy. This along with psychological changes of wanting to be with people. This project is no longer being funded but the offspring are still being sold in Russia.
